D&D Home Services Seasonal Schedule: When to Book Each Service

Timing matters for exterior home maintenance. Here's our recommended seasonal schedule to help Kitchener-Waterloo homeowners plan and book services at the optimal time of year.

Spring (April–June)

Spring is our busiest season. After Ontario's winter, homes need: gutter cleaning (after tree pollination, typically late April–May), soft washing to remove winter mold and algae, window cleaning, and driveway sealing once temperatures are consistently above 10°C. Book spring services early — our schedule fills quickly from March onwards.

Summer (July–August)

Summer is excellent for pressure washing driveways, pool decks, and interlock patios, soft washing if spring cleaning was skipped, and window cleaning before kids return to school. Scheduling is more flexible in July than spring or fall.

Fall (September–November)

The second critical season: gutter cleaning after leaf fall (book for late October–November), driveway sealing before temperatures drop below 10°C (book before mid-October), fall exterior washing before winter, and snow removal contract signing for the coming season. Fall books up fast — snow removal contracts are often full by November.

Winter (December–March)

Active services in winter: snow removal and ice management. Planning time for: reviewing spring service needs, signing up for recurring annual packages, and booking spring services early for preferred dates.
